| Dillinger Escape Plan: |
Know that what we are in the process of recording will be everything we have ever been capable of, and now more. This last year, and how we have gotten through it and to the place we are now, will define all of our lives for a long time. You will hear it in the music and words when you hear this album, and when you see us play live you will see the newfound energy that we now have from making it through all this together. Some of you are new, some of you have been with us for a long time. Regardless, we have a long way left to go, and the thing that we share together besides the music is making it through obstacles in our lives. We have overcome everything from multiple member changes in the early years, members suffering physical impairment or injury that has made it impossible to continue playing, and financial, physical, personal, and internal problems that many bands would never make it through. We take forever to put out records, and put everything we have into them. This band goes beyond just writing music and lyrics for us, it exists in every aspect of our lives 24 hours a day, and everything we experience and go through ends up going into this band in some way. When we see familiar faces on tour, we know that in the time since we have seen you last, you have had to deal with a lot in your own life just to get there again. Life is not easy, but it is the overcoming of obstacles and the amount of fight we have inside of us that will define us. We are going through all this together in some way or another. Please welcome this new time for us. The past was great, but the future will be greater I promise, if every day we didn't know for a fact that it would be, we wouldn't continue. We love you all for sticking though us through all of this. You'll hear it and see us soon.
The album is called "Ire Works" and is being produced by Steve Evetts for a fall release. Recording members of The Dillinger Escape Plan are now:

Gil Sharone has established himself as one of the hottest up and coming drummers on the scene today. His approach and philosophy to drumming has been inspiring and influential to players of all levels and musical backgrounds. Being an extremely versatile player has landed him gigs with much respected acts such as Fishbone, Dave Wakeling of The English Beat, HR of Bad Brains, Eek-A-Mouse, and many more.
Gil was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA on June 2, 1978 and began playing the drums when he was thirteen years old. At that same time, Gil's twin brother Rani, started playing the bass and guitar. The two brothers knew right away that music was not going to be a hobby, but their calling in life. With very supportive parents and a natural ability to play, Gil and Rani excelled quickly on their instruments.
Gil grew up a self taught player without any formal schooling. Although he was lucky to have some valuable mentors guide him in the right direction, most of Gil's training was through watching and listening. Gil has become proficient in numerous styles of music including rock, reggae, traditional ska, funk, jazz, fusion, metal, hip-hop and everything in between.
At age 19, Gil's versatility, feel, chops and energy landed him a gig with Fishbone... one of his favorite bands and biggest influences. This opportunity opened a lot of doors for Gil and also gave him the chance to play with members of Funkadelic, Miles Davis' group and of course, Fishbone!
When Gil was 21, he received a phone call from Philip "Fish" Fisher (Fishbone, Justin Timberlake), asking if he'd like to sub for him playing with Dave Wakeling of the English Beat. Gil took the gig and ended up playing with Dave for almost 3 years.
During the years of touring on and off with Dave Wakeling, playing dates with reggae legend, Eek-A-Mouse, HR of Bad Brains and other accomplished musicians... Gil was always working with his brother Rani on their own projects. These projects evolved into the band, Stolen Babies.
Currently, Gil plays in "STOLEN BABIES".... The band is building a strong grassroots following and creating a buzz with their talent, fresh sound and intense live energy. They will be releasing their debut video and full length record in early 2006.
Besides Stolen Babies, Gil is committed to passing on his knowledge and love for the drums. He has performed as a headliner at the 5th annual Cape Breton International Drum Festival with Marco Minnemann, Dom Famularo, Will Kennedy, Billy Ward and other world class drummers. Gil has also done clinics for Musicians Institute (P.I.T.) and various music stores.
Gil's clinics are sponsored by Orange County Drums, Sabian, Pro-Mark, REMO and DW.

Stolen Babies

|
| STOLEN BABIES are a unique band in their own right, a talented act that has amassed a following with their energetic and freakish live shows. The band’s musical style is a cauldron of ideas that serves up a wonderful variety of vibrant styles meshed together into a pure chaotic frenzy. And it works.
With elements of gothic rock, industrial, punk and metal brewing within, it’s not hard to see why the band has been able to impress fans and critics who have stumbled upon their mischievously power-packed numbers. The band’s well-received debut release ‘There Be Squabbles Ahead’ was released in digipak format on THE END RECORDS on October 3rd, 2006.
