Top metal snare drums

Tama Bell Brass PL565N Snare Drum 14X6.5. If I am not mistaken this has a 3mm shell.
Looks like these 6.5 snare drums have that Herculean loud sound and projection power.
And the price? Don't ask. After all, this is a Tama snare.

 
I remember a time when you needed a Dunnett stainless steel to be the hippest guy on the scene. Now you don't hear a thing...wha! hoppen! 😕.
 
This is an interesting one. Mike Johnston tells the story behind Gretsch's "The One" marketing campaign that happened six years ago.
He chose a metal snare at that time. I looked at the YouTube playlist result of the Gretsch's "The One". For whatever reason, the results were lopsided and the overwhelming majority chose metal snare drums. I have included the link to the playlist.
