I don't think so. As you can see here:My buddy Dave gave me this. Its a 1980s Superstar 14"x8" in Maple finish. He used it in the early 90's but now he mostly plays guitar....
Unfortunately the wire snares are not the full length original ones.

Thanks! I found this thread that confirms your suspicions about the Pearl Free Floaters.I don't think so. As you can see here:
the wires should extend past the bearing edges. It's a serious pain to get replacements, IMO. But I THINK the Pearl Free-Floating snare wires work. I cannot find another thread where I asked the same question some year or so ago.
