List of boutique builders

Larry

"Uncle Larry"
Inspired by the future vintage thread.

It would be helpful to have a master list of boutique builders (who are still building) as a reference, since those numbers are growing.

I'll start with:

1. Carolina Drumworks

2. Unix

RHB - Bruce Hagwood

Outlaw Drums - Michael Outlaw

Doc Sweeney - Steve Stecher

Sugar Percussion - Jefferson Shallenberger

Craviotto Drums

Stanbridge Drums - Pete Stanbridge

Top of my head, not all may be current:

Dunnett
SJC
TJS
Pork Pie (although Bill D doesn't consider them boutique anymore...)
Medicine Man
GMS
Truth
Fever
Spaun
Shine
Montinieri
Mayer Bros.
Hillbilly Kustom
Ford
Allegra
C&C
Phattie
Dynamicx
Jerry Garcia
Ayotte

No longer current:

Impact
Corder / Darwin (and I believe All American was another ex-Fibes version)

You are hereby nominated to alphabetize the list after it appears to be complete, and annotate with appropriate info (web presence, founder's name, current or defunct, etc) if you like. I will lobby for that to be a sticky post in the right section. :)

Bermuda

Evetts Drums - Stephen Crawley

Definitely Eames. Also Garcia in Seattle, Allegra in Portland. What's the status of Ayotte these days?

Most missed: Modern Drum Shop

And for cymbals, Cymbal & Gong of course. They qualify.

For sticks, LA Backbeats, Bopworks.
Yea boutique cymbal makers too. Good addition Todd. Hardware, cowbells, drumsticks, it's all fair dinkum. It's all about the boutique
