Edge dent on a ride (Zildjian A Sweet 23): what do you think about it?

Hi everyone! I would need an advice... I've just bought this used Zildjian 23" A Sweet Ride online and it came with a couple of edge dents. I photographed the worst one: there seems to be no crack, but the edge is slightly deformed and I'm afraid it could crack in the future. What do you think about it? (I play rock and punk rock)

The cymbal probably got damaged during transport. The seller was very kind and told me he will refund me if I send it back to him.

I paid only 210€ for it so it was a very good deal. But I found the same model, new, for sale, for just 290€, so... What should I do in you opinion?

Thank you very much for your answers!

I'm usually in the "just play it" camp, but you say you play punk and rock. If you crash ride a lot, that could potentially crack. Since the seller is okay returning it, I think I would.

Myself, I'm pretty gentle on rides, so I'd just play it. 😊

Yes I'll crash ride on it, I'm not a super heavy player and I think I have a good technique... But yes, I'll play it intensively... Jon Theodore is one of my favourite drummers 🙂

The dent doesn't seem so terrible, but the edge is slightly deformed... I'm very undecided!

maybe use some emery paper and just scrub it out if its worrying ya
That's what I would try. The imperfection seems pretty miniscule. As someone who can be very particular about gear, I would just play it; it's a lot to be thankful for that you were able to get a new to you cymbal. :)

I'd just play it and not worry too much. If you have a friend who's a good metal worker, ask his opinion. Or, do the emery paper fix as suggested.

Yeah, I’d keep it and sand it down, too. One of my hi hats has one of them and it’s been fine.
