David Lee Roth residency in Vegas

Like I said, likely an unpopular opinion :)

I've heard the records, I was a teenager at the time. I didn't like VH much, not really my thing. I'm trying to not make a big deal out of this (as it's merely my opinion), but I just don't think he was ever a great singer.
I think I know what you‘re getting at. To me Sammy Hagar is not a good singer... IMO, he screams... a lot. Not my thing. Or rappers talk their songs. Again, IMO. But I know they sing 🎤, just not in a style I think is good.

I bet he's basting in that leather outfit under the hot lights. The little blue pill, Viagra, is a phosphodiesterase inhibitor so cyclic nucleotides go up (cAMP, cGMP) which activates cyclic nucleotide dependent kinases that phosphorylate Hsp 20 (I helped identify) and inhibits smooth muscle contraction-so tissues become engorged. It's interesting that even with a potent contractile agonist and myosin light chains phosphorylated such normally smooth muscle is contracted the smooth muscle relaxes=even cell permeable mimetic peptides will relax it. The exact mechanisms is not fully understood but appears to influence actin more so than myosin. Sorry I couldn't help myself-old habits "hard" to break. LOL.
Uh yeah, what you said! Bee Hutches.

As a result of this thread several Dave Lee Roth videos have turned up on my YouTube feed. One was for a song called Slam Dunk from his 1998 DLR Band album, an album that passed me by and was barely publicised at the time of release. This led me to look for some more songs from that album and this was followed by me buying a copy online. He could (can?) still get it over the line in the studio and what with John 5 on guitar duties i consider it a few quid well spent.

I'm still trying to get the connection between basting in a leather outfit...and Viagra. There's no segue!

Art?

I started with the leather outfit, but suddenly remembered someone had mentioned Viagra and from there the deep dive into a cow pile. I'm a cornucopia of useless information so sometimes it just vomits out-just ask my three daughters-I'd often gross them out during dinner time.. Is there ever a logical "it follows" in any of my posts Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha?

Well, he used to be one of the best, but certainly decided to not go out on top. I thought he screwed up badly enough with the VH reunion. I don't even know what to call this. It's hard to do this bad even intentionally. Just sad. A joke. A shadow of himself.

Never was no Robert Plant, but was perfect for VH.
