I remember some podcast with Mike Johnston, where he said the best sounding drum set he ever played was a pink set of DWs in a studio somewhere. He said that as good as it sounded he would never play it where people could see him.

I just realized. When you are playing the drums, you never see the color of the drums except for a small portion of the bass drum.
I never thought about that before.
