Hi all,
Just wondering if any of you highly enlightened fellows have any advice or recording experience with the Zoom H4N. I got one after seeing favourable reviews and my goal is to get decent bass and snare mics to plug into it.
I did some testing today and it sounds pretty good mounting it low behind the kit. I get more low end and drum sound out of it, rather than drowning everything in cymbal wash. I've got Cubase and Wavelab, those are both new to me, I've added some EQ and reverb, but mixing and recording is all new realm for me so I'm flying by the seat of my pants!
Im just trying to nail the tuning and sound of my kit, the less I have to do in post the better. Any advice on recording with it?
