1975 Ludwig classic maple/poplar advice

DO IT. These are the 3-ply Ludwigs that are so sought after. You seriously might never need another drumset. And that looks to be a great price!

As for versatile... I'm of the opinion that as far as drums, it's usually the drummer that's the limiting factor. But these drums will be especially suitable for the types of music you mentioned.

Great set of drums. I have Luddie 3 ply shells, from 69 and 71. Excellent era. Hope you get 'em.

Most agree that those 3 ply maple/poplar/maple shells are some of the best ever made by Ludwig, they are NOT as the seller claims "rare".He also has all of the sizes wrong,so that says to me,he dosen't know much about them. The right sizes depth x diameter are

Bass 14x22,mounted toms 8x12 and 9x13,floor tom 16x16 and the supraphonic snare is 5x14.I can't see the serial numbers but mahogany cortex came out in around 73,and 3 ply shells with re rings stopped some time in 76 so you have an approximate age. They look all original and unmodified .
