One reason why I like those Ludwig coated heads

Shot two is a Remo smooth white ambassador - and it just bugs me that you can see through it. The first shot is a Ludwig coated white Ensemble head - notice how you can’t see through it? Because white mylar of that thickness is translucent I assume, seeing that smooth white versions of Ludwig Ensemble heads are translucent as well.
Switch to another coated head if that's bothering you.
 
It's just the nature of the beast. A smooth white head is going to be semi-transparent. Coated heads are opaque.

How about a mirror head.
Good for checking shoes before heading out for the evening?
