Show off your Ludwigs? : )

Are those "Classic Maples"? I saw a light reflection in the rack tom's resonant head that almost looked like a re-ring which would have made them a "Legacy". What sizes are they?

Yep, Classic Maples.

16x22
16x16
9x13
5x14 Supraphonic

I have an 8x12 not pictured here. Due to arrive any day are a 14x14 FT and 14x18 BD. That will give me options like 13/16/22 and 12/14/18 or any other configuration.

Man.....I really HATE this thread....I haven't visited in a little while, I want to stay out of it so as to avoid that continuing sense of loss that I feel for not having a Luddy kit already.....yet, for some strange reason I can't look away!!

8Mile.....sooooooo sexy. I covet!!

Wes, a mid 60's kit would have a Chicago Keystone....not a Monroe. Your kit was made after the move there in the mid 80's. Serial numbers on Monroe badges can't be used to date a drum.

Stix, that red sparkle Legacy has me drooling.

Everyone else.....I'm envious!!

They are great looking drums. I've always had a soft spot for Ludwigs in "white marine pearl" since I played my dad's in the sixties.

Nice choice,
Dennis

Here are mine 1967 (I think...). Toms are 12,13,14. Ludwig kick pedal and HH stand. All Zildjian except for the Wuhan china.

Awesome kit! When did you get those cymbals? How big is that bass drum?

The cymbals, minus the Wuhan, have been in the family for years. They belonged to my dad and he got them brand new in the late 70's. The kick is, I think, 18x18(?) I'll have to check.

My dad would still be playing these cymbals if not for a chance meeting with the Zildjian sisters in San Antonio. Long story short, he now has a full set of Zildjian A customs that he traded for...

Great collection Bermuda...

However, don't you think it was a bit conceited to produce a kit named "victory" before the war was over? :)

My vintage kit again... Did a few upgrades since last year. Can't wait to get my NEW Ludwig Legacy together and post a few pics...

Using the LM402 supraphonic this past weekend. The rest of the kit is some mid-80's Ludwig maple kit. It's not mine and I'm not exactly sure of the series or year.

The supra sure did sound nice in the mix :)

The classic maples, in the "Fab Four" configuration actually more Joe Morello style with the silver sparkle ...

Sizes are 14x22, 16x16, 9x13 with the 6.5x14 maple snare ... the side snare is a Premier made in England 7.5x12 birch Modern Classic series

The 4 piece kit was previously owned by Bill Marshall, Hank Williams Jrs drummer for 23 years ... he now has my old SONOR 3007 kit.
