Im waiting for the custm Daxdad to match the kit but it will look like this:

Have to say. It took a long time to come to this setup and this sizes but i'm happy that I feel ''settled'' now.

Some electronics (extra pads, triggers) and new floor legs for both the toms are missing on the pics (but are here as we speak)

Thursday i'm going to do a demo for the DTXM with a PHX, curious how it will sound in person :D

Played last saturday with this baby and I and the crowd was blown away by the sound, the sub and setupdetail.

I'm loving how you have that set up. Looks like you were going for a small footprint. Well done. Being a Hexrack user, I have a couple of questions.
How many pieces/racks did you start with? Did you cut some bars to make this happen? What did you use to cut them? Did you do anything special to finish any cut edges? Did this come out like you had originally hoped or did you just get lucky? ;-)

I started with a HX3L and build it on:
Yamaha HXR3L Hex-rack
6x HXTC
1x HXOC (2 more in order)
2x HXBC
1x HXDB (not used in this setup)
1x HXAC

Bars:
3x HXCP24
1x HXCP36 (not used in this setup)
1x HXCP44

I did cut on the standard rack (2 front vertical posts, to high for my 20'' kick setup) but not on this setup. However I am going to cut a post I dont use for the snare basket of the right front leg.

I din't did anything special besides that.

First I designed a W a A and a K (my initials WAK) on paper but that became to expensive and the discontinued the Hex. So I became creative with the things I've already had.

The small footprint was by accident since I wanted to hav everything ''jumping out'' from the floor
This is the result ;)

Love that "custom" drum rack!

I was just thinking about what I'd like if I had a custom drumrack!

...oh and I love how everything, even your seat matches!!

That is THE most stylish kit I have seen in a while, I LOVE kits with class and a good desighn, top job my man, seriously.

Beautiful kit
Second call for Aydee, Yamaha eye candy.

Right ye are, Harry! Wow, this kit is so fully loaded, it almost isnt possible : )

A Transformer beast.. I love it.

Wow, that is one of the best looking kits I've ever seen. A shame Yamaha discontinued the Hex racks.
On thing that you could improve imho is pull of those ugly stickers on your kick head.

Wait, you just bought some HXTCs? How did you get your hands on those?

I have one HXTC left over that I'm not using and may never use. Now that they aren't making them, I wish I had more. I'm weird like that. I can't wait to see the "compatible" rack that they come out with next. Has anyone heard anything about when that might be?

Wow, nice set up. I have a Yamaha Oak Custom in RedOak as well and have been debating ordering a 4th tom (16X14 Rack)...you just made up my mind for me.

Beautiful kit, love the sub as well....thanks for sharing.

Ahh! Lefty invasion!!!

Lol! Just kidding. :p

Beautiful kit, dude! Outdoor pic too!!

Tnx guys. Just bought 2 more HXTC clamps for the metronome start stop and a extra TP65 pad.

The stickers are for the brands I promote (exept for Apple and Remo :( ) ;)

But I would love tho have a head like this:

(You see where my inspiration comes from :p)

What would that small kick drum on our left sound like, file clips, examples anyone, what size is it?
