Good jazz tunes/albums to play along with

I just started with jazz drumming and now I'm practicing the comping
patterns of the Art of Bop Drumming. I began with locking the ride and comping
patterns to a metronome but it's more fun to be playing along with a record.

Do you have any recommendations with regards to nice tunes or albums
that I can play along with? Right now I'm looking for something with a nice
walking bass line at a tempo between 80-100bpm.

I'm playing along to some Charlie Parker tunes and I'm having a blast.

It's a good way of learning tunes, too. Some of my old favorites are:

Thelonious Monk -- Monk's Dream, Criss Cross
Miles Davis -- Bags' Groove, Milestones, The New Quintet
Don Cherry -- Art Deco (if you can find it)
Sonny Rollins -- Plus 4
Oliver Nelson -- Blues and the Abstract Truth
Ahmad Jamal -- Trio (1955, with no drummer), The Legendary AJ Trio Live (or Live at the Pershing)

Beware of that Ahmad record and the Sonny one, and Milestones-- they've got some pretty burning tempos. Have fun...

It seems this record is a very popular recommendation as I've seen this album
mentioned in some other threads. Will definitely work on those tunes. Thanks Anthony!

I'm not familiar with some but I'll definitely look into your recommendations. Love the
variety. Thanks Todd!

I'll also start with the listenings recommended by John Riley's book. I'm planing on
this year to spend most of my time listening to jazz. I've been always intimidated by jazz
but I believe that it will only help me in improving as a musician.

some really great jazz cats on this forum to bounce stuff off of.

Todd Bishop, dmacc, 8Mile, Numberless, Elvis, Kafkapenguin, groove1, con struct ....... just to name a few
 
Thanks for the other recommended listenings.

I deleted all the songs in my ipod and replaced them with some bebop! Yeah!

I practiced a while ago and it took me almost 30 minutes to play a comping pattern
that has the snare in the last triplet subdivision of 1 and second triplet subdivision
of 2 at 90bpm! hahaha!

It's also nice that some jazz records have no drummers.
