Where are you technically supposed to sit on your throne?

Bob Gatzen and Will Kennedy used that rig.

I remember seeing a few folks using it when it came out. I tried it, and it just felt weird to me...like I was throwing my sticks at my drums instead of playing them.

Bob Gatzen invented that rig. Or was it Rob Brown? ;):ROFLMAO:
I remember looking at that thing and thinking WHAT? It was in an issue of MD and it had Bob explaining the purpose of the Drum Frame. It made sense but I never got to try one. After 30 years of being level I don't think I'd want to now.

On my old throne I used to sit relatively far forward, never really using the back rest at all. I've now (as of a few months ago) got an Ahead Spinalglide (with the twin seating for each cheek), and I've found I can feel in control in a lot of different positions on it, so have been starting to experiment a bit more. I haven't really come to any conclusions yet, but it definitely has an effect on different techniques.

Sitting on top always seemed to make the most sense to me.
