This is what I've been doing to kill the downtime.. improving my finger strokes.
Really enjoying Rick Dior's Youtube videos.. he studied with Joe Morello and really knows his stuff!
I think I've gotten out of practice with lack of playing over the past year ..
After 3 weeks of working on fingers every day - I'm finding my double strokes and rudiments have sharpened up a lot!
Basically no wrist strokes.. just isolating the fingers and running through all the rudiments.
Now I feel like I'm back on track..!
