I don't generally play along to music much anymore, and when I did I started with one song and learned the whole album. So my list is a little one dimensional, because it's all metal.

Unhallowed (the whole disc)- The Black Dahlia Murder
Enemy of God (the whole disc)- Kreator

Random songs by Death- Without Judgement (my current band covers this), Pull the Plug, and The Philosopher. For me learning Death songs are a challenge due to playing involved, and they get stuck in my head and I have a hard time going to sleep because I play drums at night.

Wish I could play I Got The Feelin properly. All those consecutive 16th notes on the snare in the second bar of the two-bar phrase. If I practised only that song for six months I might be fairly close.
 
I get the drift but come on were drummers-every song is fun to play (even the ones I disdain-cause it's for the audience not me). I love to watch an audience have fun and enjoy music. Doesn't that make it fun to play?

I have to re-learn it every time I play it! I love that song. And I've certainly never played it perfectly. I think that's why I like it. It's not like he's all over the place either.

I remember playing along to the whole Left Overture album. It was a huge influence and fun to play.
 
Rush's A Farewell To Kings and Xanadu. I still have the orchestra bells, chimes, woodblocks and bell tree but never use them anymore.
