STICK TWIRLING AND SHOWMANSHIP TECHNIQUE.

tricks are to pump up the audience, or pump your image up, and jazz listeners don't really need to be "pumped up".

I think it's cool just for fun..and yes there are more important things..but it could be practical , too..

I can't really do it and have very little interest in it. I show and explain a basic twirl to younger students sometimes, just to loosen things up a bit.
 
haha! you've dredged up some really old threads today! i have to admit i've enjoyed looking at the ancient postings and seeing who was active in the old days before my time.

i can twirl sticks reasonably well but i usually don't because i'm chicken that i'll drop one!
