Venue size for me varies wildly, I may play a club with 10 people in it (
including the band, bartender, waitress, cook, and doorman!) then play for 10,000 the next week with Al. Probably our biggest venue and audience was at Joe Robbie Stadium, Miami, at Hurricane Relief in 1992. A pretty cool line-up, organized by Gloria Estefan, who also perfromed. Julio Iglesias, CS&N, Asia, Bee Gees, Jimmy Buffett, Jon Secada, Paul Simon, and more, plus various comedians to fill-in during set changes: Whoopi Goldberg, Sinbad, Michael Winslow, I think Bobcat Goldthwait, and more. We went on pretty late in the evening, about 1:30am, and a lot of the audience had taken off by then. But there were probably 35,000 remaining.
With Al, venues range from theaters to sheds to arenas to grandstands at the fair, with the audience sizes ranging anywhere from 1,000 to 15,000, I'd say mostly in the 2,500-5,000 range.
Our largest regular venue is the grandstand at the Minnesota State Fair, capacity: 15,000. Here's a pic of about half of it.
