Rewrapped my Yamaha D22’s

Hi - I just had my old Yamaha Y badge toms rewrapped - quite happy with the outcome- here’s some before and after pics. I purchased an old 22 x 14 Star kick drum from the 60’s which I’m having wrapped in the same wrap. Should go quite well with the Yamaha toms.

Thanks guys - as much as I’d love to take credit for the restoration, I can’t - it was done by someone else, but I’m very happy with the outcome. And it feels great to give these unbelievable birch shells another lease on life.

Wow, those look nice. Love the gold sparkle in the wrap. That said, I'm even more impressed with the chrome. Those are keepers for sure!

Agreed, fitting a black Yamaha logo head.

I would put back an original vintage Yamaha head or a repro of it, and maybe in black then with white letters:

There's a guy on eBay who does decals for bass drum logos. I think he does vintage Yamaha logos too. They are really good quality, and you can use them on whatever head you want

I´d probably put a Fiberskyn or a similar calf-skin lookalike on the front to complete the vintage vibe. Although that original Yamaha logo does look cool as well...
