Questions about triggers

Now before I go out buying recording equipment I'd like to know everything to know. I've done a little bit of reserch and found that the Alesis DM5 is a great module and ddrum triggers are really good also, but what will the DM5 have to connect to in order to connect to my own computer to record? Or instead, should I get the Alesis Trigger IO which also comes with EZDrummer?

nothing yet? also, i was thinking 6 triggers (snare, 4 toms, bass) and 1 condenser mic to capture the cymbals. Will EZdrummer record with both triggers and mics?
