I have no sound past kit # 22 after firmware update to 1.5 on alesis strike pro the new kits are there and the triggers work but no sound in headphones or main outs.
 
Factory reset? Also, are you sure you did the update properly? I missed a step with mine and it copied the new kits and all but remained un-updated, and things got weird. I started the process again from scratch. In my case I forgot to put it into update mode by pressing the record button as it says. Does it display 1.5 if you go in Utility/F5-OS? Any chance it didn't download the new sounds? Is 001 the Big Bird kit?
