I think Jeremy Taggart from Our Lady Peace is a really fantastic drummer.

I've only recently been listening to them.

He's got good rock chops and has a great imaginative approach to backbeat.

I remember he had a friendship with Elvin Jones. Here's a little story:

Oh man, JT is awesome!!! He was HUGE influence on me back when I first started playing and gigging in the early 1990's. I remember playing along with the Clumsy album over and over. Geez, that guy just explodes when he plays! Also due to him, I wanted a set of wood-hooped Ayotte's too. Dang, what a drummer!

Back then, I also started wearing thick, black-rimmed glasses all due to Jeremy. I still wear them to this day.

I remember just about staring a hole in this ad in MD back in the day:

I saw them in 95 and 98, always a good show. Jeremy was full of energy.
