Efficient Practice

This has always been extremely helpful to me when I do it, especially when improvising, and yet, I need to regularly remind myself to do it. Playing something you can 'sing' is probably the best way (I've found) to avoid letting the hands lead the way.

Specifically, I am the lead singer in my little band. It has definitely improved my playing to have to sing lead while drumming
