Arky's drawings

An Avatar suggestion for you Ben :)
.

Arky...that is SUPERB

I am going to try to paint it I reckon

I need to get a bass head with NO port

The one I currently use has 2!! (Not my choice)

Thanks! Oops - that wasn't me but Henri ;-)
Henri did a great job creating that bassdrum head design - way better than I ever could!

Many apologies...

Night shift shrivels up the grey matter

So you're into aviation?

I still think that the Mirage III is the most beautiful fighting jet ever...

Serves me right for hijacking your thread :)

Thanks Arky :)

Here's a glimpse of what it would look in real life...

Cool stuff, Arky. I dig that you really immerse yourself in your hobbies and make good progress.

I was really into my drawing before I hit my teenage years. I drew robots and dinosaurs and also got into the cartoon side of things. It was probably computer games that distracted me but towards the end I felt like I didn't know what I wanted to draw anymore.

I think that tiny tragedy sort of helped me push harder with drums. Same with piano, actually. I felt like it beat me and because I didn't apply myself.

Sorry I made this about me, lol. I'll shut up now.

Here's more stuff.

First pic is that modded ribbon mic and a stock pic of the same mic model but unmodded.

Star Wars ;-) What I did sometimes was - being fascinated by all those spacecraft designs - I'd stop the video tape, do a drawing, go to another interesting camera perspective and do another drawing. Some long camera scenes made it actually possible to get a bigger picture of what is shown on screen by creating several 'snapshots' in a row. Like I did with the Headquarters Frigate design. You can see the individual snapshot positions that I did. That 'combined' total of the Headquarters Frigate consists of several shots that I combined on two pages, then taped those pages together to get a more 'realistic' drawing, haha.

I also did a few sketches of some Battlestar Galactica craft (original series) and of the Alien queen from the 2nd movie.

More creatures, more military, more... Did I say I was into (drawing) explosions? ;-)

Those 2 creatures pics were created during class I think, at least the 1st one (Latin IIRC).

Oops - maybe I should have edited out a few spots. Anyway ;-)
