Hello Drummer World!
I've been playing since 2000/2001, with some time off during university. In that time I've played in a punk band (highschool), played drums & percussion for two musicals (Uni), provided backline and played as house drummer at a local open-mic (ongoing), and have had the opportunity to play to an empty ACC with Billy Talent during their soundcheck (this year).
I come from mostly pop, punk, rock, and funk (and variations/mixes of the three). Within the last year or so I've been exploring big band swing as I find its energy incredible fun.
As of right now I'm playing a Tama Starclassic Performer (100% Birch) in Gold/Orange Glitter & Black Nickel hardware with an array of Sabian plates. Go-to snare drums are the Pearl Tico Torres Sig (14x6.5 FF 3mm cast Aluminum) and a 14x7 Yamaha Oak Custom.
I really enjoy messing around with different setups and seeing what I like or don't like. I do have two go-to setups, both are shown in the outdoor pictures below.
And without further ado, here is the drum pr0n...
