I got my kits at NAMM and they were already assembled.
However, the following year I did assemble a kit for the booth which took about 30 minutes. But once it's assembled, you don't have to mess with it again. There's a thread about the drums around the time they were introduced (Jan 2014 I think.) Nobody had seen or heard them, but everyone had an opinion. I was hands-on with the drums and tried to clear up the misconceptions, but who listens to me?
