New lug locks

My new lug locks arrived. I'll be putting them on my 1979 Ludwig Coliseum snare drum, 8X14. I bought it used & some original lug locks are missing. Being a 12 lug drum, these locks prevent the tension rod from loosening up. I'll install tomorrow since today I watch football until going to bed
Will take pics. If I like them, I'll buy some more to use on my 10 lug snare drums.

Keep that just right sound locked in tight!..in a perfect I wouldn't use them but unfortunately..or fortunately however you look at it i use the square plastic guys.

Lug locks are essential for me - I was constantly retuning my snare before. There's no shame in using them.

The snare wires extend beyond the rims. Strainer is P-87.

Yeah, the Classic. I had a Coliseum with the chrome wrap. I made the mistake of putting a P85 and short wires on mine and it totally killed the sound. The snare beds are very wide and shallow and need the extended wires.
