This beauty arrived today. A canary wood stave. Marc at Seven Six Drums is making his mark on the craft drum market. The drum’s little brother is on the site that inspired this build. Well crafted.
This just arrived today - it is a 6.5” Walnut stave snare from a Quebec Boutique builder called Ebenor . Polished bearing edges , beautiful and smooth satin lacquer finish , brass hoops and tube lugs (powder coated brown) and a Trick 3 point strainer (black) . The workmanship on this snare is truly something to see . It is extremely articulate for a stave shell . View attachment 122545View attachment 122546View attachment 122547View attachment 122548

Finally, after a long discussion and thinking about the choice of hardware, this is my 15"X8" snare that will be between the 13" rack tom and the 16x16" floor Tom. It will ship next week, I cannot wait to set it up, I will have to buy the mics for it then, I thought about Telefunken M80 short version on top and M81 on the bottom. Not until September, I have an in store financing that will ned on Sept 30th...
Not as much glamour as the snare but still cool for the basement, Radial power 2 conditioner, with a slide out tray and 7 Colors, my preferred colors below (Tough to see a one unit 19" rack-mountable though). I ordered a second one for the second rack and the one that was in place wnet to the singers rack (IEM Amp and wireless etc.)
Sonor Vintage 320 - California Blue! Just arrived yesterday and I am absolutely thrilled! Fit and finish are perfect (gorgeous!), out of the box sounds fantastic, and so inspiring to play. I had the tom/cymbal holder from my AQ2 set -- really makes for a nice compact setup. Unexpectedly the BG signature snare really goes well with the natural beech that can be seen inside the bass drum hoops. K Con / Special Dry cymbals and DW 5000 hardware completed the set. I am seriously considering selling my AQ2 now.
Thanks! The finish is hard to get right now (I think last year's?), so was so glad to find it at a great price. The drums are just magnificent to play!

Finally got my two week old Concept Maples set up just the way I like them. I tried to go "non-rack" for a minimalist approach, but I just can't get the toms where I need them with a bass-mounted double tom holder anymore, even with the omni-ball style arms.
Everything in the pics are new except the crashes which I'm gonna retire to a practice kit whenever I get a practice room.
New DW 9000 air lift throne, K Custom 20" ride and 13" K/Z hats are new as well.
Oh I forgot. I've got a Designer Series DW matching snare coming in the mail in a week. I've never had a matching snare before so I'm pretty excited.
