From last Friday (July 1st). About 1hr before show time. Rodeo was still on at this point. The tent was packed come kick off time, and stayed that way until we were done.
Yamaha stage custom birch 20" bass drum and 14" floor tom and my Tama Metalworks 10" steel snare. Sabian hh series 22" medium ride, 20" thin crash, and 14" dark hats. Evans heads all around.
I had some "Help" setting up for Friday night music at a local golf course.
He came running over after I attached the kick pedal and gave the drum a couple of hits.
Apparently this pup belongs to a nearby family and is well-known on the links.

FB reminded me of this gig from about 8 years ago - rocking the Ludwig Questlove kit. We were lucky enough to play this restaurant every Thursday night during the summer for several years. Aside from being a fun gig, playing regularly like this really improved our sound.
From the gig tonight. All the usual suspects. That little TM-1 module and kick trigger sure is a cool little gadget. It’s nice to have a few different bass drum sounds one touch away on the app.
It was quite warm during daytime, around 24 celsius, had to cover up the drums so they didn't get too warm. More cloudy when we started playing, but still no rain, so it was quite comfy .
A live video from one of our originals here, as you probably can see the stage was quite uneven and "wobbly", so I feel the playing sometimes suffered a bit, but it is what it is. This was one of our later songs in the set so it wasn't quite that sunny anymore . And that is actually my car in the background too, so it could have been a contribution to the "gig with the shortest distance to your car" thread...
Anyone have any sweet show pictures? theres something so much better about pictures of people actually playing the kit. ill post some soon, im at work right now.
Within Temptation - Sharon den Adel is da bomb.
Check out Liv Kristine, she's been a member of a few bands and has solo albums.
Sirenia (though they've changed vocalists a few times, but always female)
Xandria (again, they've gone through a few singers, oh, they do the speed metal thing on many songs, so maybe not).
Draconian has some growling, though not much. But very dark with great female vocals.
You might also like Switchblade Symphony. Their 1995 album Serpentine Gallery is amazing. Sadly, they've long since broken up.
