Hey!
Does anybody get some informations about Sonor acrylic octobans from the 70ies?
There are no infos all around the world/internet!
I think these could be a big score!
I also started a request to Sonor.

Just a guess ..... prototype ..... or custom purpose built for a Sonor artist.

Those lugs indicate 80s or 90s. 70s Sonor lugs were teardrop shape, IIRC.
Yes, you are right. The lugs has also the snap lock system.
But the simple stands and the badge/sticker on the shells looks for me like from the acrylic Champion era.

Plenty of Phonics around from the 70's with those (boxy) lugs.

You're right, my bad. Champions also had the boxy lugs, as early as '72.

The rectangle sticker looks Champion-ish. However, the font of the "SONOR" on the badge looks like the re-design they did in 1975.

Looks like Sonor did play with Smoky Acrylic ..... when I did a search for sonor acrylic .....

They did:
Gerade bei #eBayKleinanzeigen gefunden. Wie findest du das?

I would guess if the Sonor museum website doesn't have information about them then I don't know where to send you.
Good idea!
But after Scott quit the admin job, this site is dead.
Very sad for all Sonor geeks all over the world
