I always knew that you could get stave shells made really thick, but now that I've seen a 1.5 inch thick shell with my own eyes, it makes much more of impact. The zebrawood is absolutely gorgeous. I'm sure that drum has some ridiculous high-end overtones; a Marshall Stack probably wouldn't stand a chance against it!

I dont think i've ever seen another 13x9" snare before...and yet it responds like a piccolo. The best of both worlds..And also the destroyer of worlds.

Yeah, I tried a 1" thick wood snare. It had plenty of cut and a powerful crack, but no body.

Yeah, that's generally the point, sharp lightning-like crack and no decay/ sustain at all. None. If you're a speed guy like crazy hands, the sound is incredible.
