Post your Gig Pics

This was from a jam session with another drummer from school. We rented out our school's 800 seat auditorium for the day : )

Hey man, lovin' those lights! How did you do it?

Been on a forum break this year but thought to chime in to share a few pics from the South Delta Jazz Workshop I taught and performed at over the last week.

Here's 3 pictures of me with my favorite bass player, good buddy and fellow faculty member at the workshop from LA Rob Kohler, snapped during his noon hour concert featuring a new original drum/bass duet piece written by Rob for the concert.

Hope everyone's having a good summer!
Hey Stan, missed you man! (I'm a poet, & don't know it)

You guys pics are much cooler than mine. At the risk of ridicule, here are some pics from my new jazz groups first gig last night. We're OK but we have a long way to go.

P.S. Dig the tie.

The Zickos on a Jazz gig are a marvel to behold. Love it!

My Grandmother gave me exactly the same time a couple of years back. Interesting.

I have a 7 pc kit (12, 13, 14, 16, 18, 22 & 14 SD) so I can use it in a 5 pc (12, 13, 16, 22 & 14), 4 pc (12, 14 as FT, 18 as BD & 14 SD) or the "Big Labowski". Lots of fun.

Here's a couple pics from the Ace Frehley/Alice Cooper show my band played on Aug. 27th.

Yeah Karl! your kits are my favorites in this forum, can't wait to have mine complete to share it, and let me say, you and your kits are the main influence in my kit!

Happy Birthday by the way!
Cheers...

here are a couple from this weekend. Awesome gig with my refurbished drums, new heads, new cymbals. :)

.. and yes, my bass drum is micked with a SM57.... that wasn't my decision.

This is taken from a concert with my school jazz/funk band after we'd returned home from a tour this summer. Newish kit so I think this was the first time I was happy with it! You can see it on my face ;)

Mapex kit (I think it's a Venus, but they're meant to be rubbish- this kit was really nice!): 22" 12" 14" and 14" Gretsch Catalina Snare.
Sabian AAX 14" hats
Dream bliss 10" splash
Istanbul Xist 18" Crash
Zildjan K Custom 18" dark crash
21" K Custom Dark Ride
Stagg/Wuhan 14" China
Various hardware (DW/Pearl/Gibralter) and a Pearl Eliminator Double Pedal.
Remo everywhere except bass drum!

Ridicule? With a kit that cool, who could dare ridicule????

All I see is a bass player. Is there a band there?

But you have a Flugel Horn player. That is the coolest.
