how did you start drumming? Had to, couldnt find a drummer anywhere so I just bought a kit and started playing, badly(my poor family), now I play bass and drums when I record and guitar players are easy to find.

I used to watch the tv show Even Stevens on the Disney Channel and in one episode they form a lumberjack club in which they do nothing but use the schools money to buy pancakes and hire a guy to play smooth jazz on the marimba for them. I always wanted to do something like that since then.

how did you start drumming? My father was a drummer. He had a kit and I banged on it all the time. He taught me drums while he played guitar. My first song was Chocolate Jesus by Tom Waits.

how did you start drumming? I went to a "Winter Solstice" (a pretty good hardcore band) and I was 100% completely inspired.

Side Note:
First of all, I just wanted to thank whoever created this site (I'm the new guy, cut me some slack :D). For a while now, I've been looking for a decent drumming forum with minimal flaming and primarily beneficial tips and advice. Even though i'm new at drumming, i'm decent at computers - So i guess I can return the thanks by helping any of you in any way possible? Oh well, I tried. :)
