Start practicing double strokes, paradiddles and all your other rudiments now, because in 10 years time when you have a pretty good idea about how much stuff you still need to learn (and how little you really know), you'll at least know that you put the time into developing the technical facility required to learn more advanced concepts. I've been playing 20+ years and still regret not pushing through the tedium and boredom I experienced with rudimental work because all the really cool stuff I want to do depends on abilities that just aren't quite good enough yet.
