13" Brass Snares

If I could find one, I'd buy the 13" Sakae. They were 6.5".

What do you like about the Sakae over the other same or lesser depth brands ?

Made in Japan to Sakae standards. Depth: they didn't feel obligated to blow it up to a 7" depth when they reduced diameter to 13". The throw - love Sakae throws. Work great. Ever look at some throws and butt plates how far away they protrude from shell? Might as well have a 16" diameter shell some of them take an additional 2" of space to accomidate some enormous throws and butt plates. And the black color - if I can'f find a 13x6.5 or shallower brass in patina brass finish, then I prefer black over chrome.

I found one!!!! A mint condition Sakae 6 1/2x13 Black Nickel/Brass snare drum 2017 - Black Nickel

Yup that's the one. They don't seem to come up for sale that often. I'm delighted I found it.
