You're a very, very naughty boy.
I heard a certain drum company was selling off their old badge engraving machine, so I had to go & test it out today.

Given that you're located many miles from the sea = yes!My neighbor has the same exact machine in his back yard.
Hard to believe, right?
Really? I was quite excited by the prospectThats a bit excessive
No - that's why they commissioned a bigger one.Did that one do both badges?

Regrettably, the black eye is a reaction to the anti platelet drugs I'm on after the stroke. I'd prefer to have taken a smack to the faceMaybe it’s a new securiy patrol robot? Could explain the black eye! LOL!

Gas pump for a ship?
Oh man, I have no idea. I'm gonna guess gas pump, water pump, water filtration and water purification systems?
All essentially correct. These are known as marine loading arms. They're for either loading or unloading of liquid cargo - anything from crude oil to chemicals, liquefied natural gas, etc, etc.It looks like a liquid delivery/removal system for the ships.
It's my "food on the table" work - very specialist engineering design & safety work, only after many years of consultancy, I'm now contracted to one North American company in a V.P. role. With only mild boasting, I'm one of only 3 people globally with my level of expertise. It's an area I decided to study whilst still earning my living as a drummer - way back when. It's served me well, & I get to see / do some neat stuffWhat were you doing there Andy?
I'd like to see the desk that supports up to 40 ton (each arm). We've got one at our office, its an automatic staple remover.
