so, does anyone else use the vic firth app to help with rudiments. If not then you should it helped me a lot with my hand speed, just thought i should throw this out there

Nope, I do not.
I think an app is just one of those trendy things VF is doing that's not really necessary. You can get all the rudiments written out from everywhere online, just look at it, start it super slow, and play.
If you can't read music, get a teacher.
