I will be in the Big Easy the third full week of January. I will have a car so I will be mobile.
I always like to check out drum shops and music stores in any city I visit, so I ask you:
What are some good drum shops/music stores to check out in the New Orleans area?
I definitely like the "Mom and Pop" places, and I am mostly interested in Used Gear, so that would include good pawn shops etc. that typically have a lot of drum gear
Also, any good live shows going on during that week (January 19th through 25th?) that might be under the radar (or over the radar)?

P. S. If anybody suggests "Guitar Center" or "Sam Ash", they will be hit upside the head with a 2S marching drumstick (ha ha)!
