Is anyone as fast, or faster at fills that dennis chambers?

Chuck Norris would beat him like a dog.

I'm not a death metal guy, but the clips of Flo Mounier I've seen on youtube lead me to believe he must be one of the fastest drummers I've ever seen when it comes to drum fills.

When he goes from his snare to his cymbals, his arms are a blur.

This whole solo is pretty good, but jump to 3:15 in this clip and you'd swear they speed up the film: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ayqcCrSXfo&feature=related

Eric Moore and Jonathan Davis may be able to hang with Chambers.

They could hang, but I dont think they'd be beating.

Hold on a mo, ladys and gentelmen, we have a contender, did'nt think much of it up until 3:15, when he fairly whipped out the skills, although i do note his stamina is somewhat lacking.

Hold on a mo, Animalbeats! I think you're a bit obsessed a) with Dennis and b) with that whole speed thing. Of course there are several drummers who can match Dennis' speed, believe it or not (and certainly you can't just judge only by those few youtube links you got here), and some may be faster, but who cares???

I'm pretty pretty sure Dennis himself couldn't care less. Dennis got awesome groove, and enough other skills, and it couldn't be of less importance if he was the fastest single stroke man or not.

And to be honest, reading your last line almost makes me think the whole thread is not worth it at all. To give Flo Mounier's speed this little credit, while even doubting his stamina...tssss... I think I'm outta here.

Man, that dude loves triggers.

Yikes! it sounds like he's using a fairly cheap E-kit with real cymbals!!

Sorry guys I dont think that any of there artists are as fast as chambers, I know one of the drummers was doing fast blast beats, but his fills aer nowhere near as fast.

I think that most if not all the people listed could play faster fills than DC. Now it doesn't mean they'd be "better" fills, (what is a better fill anyways?) but They are most likely faster. although I'm sure none of the professional drummers listed would care if their faster than Chambers or not cause drumming is not a competition.

Except for the WFD competition of course ;)

Well, obviously I care, and I'm sure you will be terribly missed.

talking about speed and no one mentions kollias?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXINemV8E_0

the guy can play faster than some of the guys mentioned with his feet probably
his feet work is nothing short of absurd
0:36.. looks unreal

and his hands are insane too

His feet definatley, would'nt mind a lesson off him, even though I'vo got no use for blast beats.

And I'm not sure how many have heard of Aussie drummer, David Jones: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBcgY53Yufo. You can't do that with brushes!

Animal, RB's been dominant in every clip I've seen of him, although that may be YouTube people getting off on his acrobatics and only posting his most spectacular stuff.

That's easily my favorite clip so far. So much music going on. Texture, dynamics, the whole shooting match. It's a soundscape, not a drum solo. Genius.

I recommend listening to it without watching it, BTW.
