Following up on a facebook thread, here is the top 15 of my all-time and most influential albums/CDs.
1. Beatles-Abbey Road
2. Beatles-White album
3. Who-Tommy
4. James Taylor-Fire and Rain
5. Carole King-Tapestry (notice my soft sensitive side coming out?)
6. Iron Butterfly-Ina-Godda-Da-Vida
7. Emerson Lake and Palmer-first
8. King Crimson-Lizard
9. King Crimson- Lark's Tongue in Aspic (Still an all time favorite)
10. Yes-Close to The Edge
11. Yes-Yessongs
12. Captain Beyond-first
13. Mahavishnu Orchestra-Inner Mounting Flame (still favorite)
14. Mahavishnu Orchestra-Birds of Fire
15. Porcupine Tree-first.
I know, almost all of them are about 40 years old, but hey, nothing has come along to make music that more interesting after this bar has been set.
Now show me yours so I can be uplifted into the 21st century a little more..
