Happy Birthday Ed Shaugnessy!

i play drums because of the Ed and Buddy jam on the Carson show. Seeing that at 9 years old flipped a switch in me.

+1.Although I had other influences,the "Tonight Show"band driven by Ed,kept me awake many a night,especially when Buddy,or Bellson made an appearence.

Shaugnessy always seemed to play like a man possesed.He never mailed it in, and went fo it all the time.One of the few who could give Buddy a run for his money,and Buddy said so himself.Happy birthday Ed,and many more.;)

I watched that show religiously. Big fan of Carson, Doc, Ed, and Tommy. Remember him?
Great band. I loved it when Carson came back from commercial and said, now we're going to hear something from the band.

I would also dare say that Buddy, Ed and Ringo had to be my main kick starters and seeing double bass drums back then was wow. Happy Birthday, and Jeremy thanks for the the post.
