Yusef Lateef

The time I spent with this man changed my life. He was an exemplary human being and true artist. I was so honored to interview him and, subsequently, begin a friendship.He left this world on December 23rd.

Oh wow, thanks for posting this notice. I am a big fan and am very sad to learn of his passing. He was amazing in concert, played the flute like the soaring of the fleetest of birds. And he could swing like mad. I think I have every recording he ever had released.
