I love the way he discribes drumming. He had some similar statements when I was reviewing his Meinl signature set. He covered the art of drumming as much as the cymbal line. He's a true professional.
 
I was one of the 123k. Yes, he has a gift for communicating ideas effectively.

I assume a LOT of drummers don't do what he's suggesting?
 
I never thought of it the first time I posted, but after that I went back and watched the clip again. It occurred to me that, although I wasn't consciously doing it by design, at times when I've pulled off good groove solos/jams I was incorporating a lot of what he was talking about. Great stuff. Funny I don't own any of his dvds
