R.I.P. Pat Torpey

RIP indeed. Real shame - Parkinsons is a terrible disease.

Very underrated drummer. Definitely outshined by his more famous bandmates, but he was an absolutely terrific player and always knew exactly what every song needed.

That's terrible news.

I only saw Mr Big 8 years ago when they reformed. He was a great drummer and singer. As someone has already said, really underrated.

I remember Eric Martin followed us to Shepherds Bush Empire, he'd gone out and got lost. We weren't sure if it was him who spoke to us or some random nutter, you get a lot of those in London!

Damn!
He really made an impact on me when I saw my first Rush show in 1989. Mr. Big opened for them and I was an instant fan.
His complex rhythms and solid timing helped me become a better player.
Get his Big Drums video and prepare to be schooled.

Such a great guy.

Very sad news.

What a great drummer. He did a masterful job in Foxboro, MA five years ago.

Thank you for your work, Mr. Torpey.

Requiescat in pace.
