Gigged last night

Our first gig with this band went real good. It was outside and got pretty cold, but we played well. Our equipment was all wet by the night's end, from the dew. I brought my drums home and took them out of their cases to dry off. The moisture was mainly on the heads, the shells just had a little fog on them. My 20" kick sounded pretty good, a little lower tone than I expected, and that's a good thing. I've really never heard it outside of my little room.(I don't get out much). It's been a yr. since my last gig. Here's a pic. of my Yamies. 10,12,14, 20 , and 14"X6 1/2 steel 80's yami. It's also the first time I've heard the newbeats that I recently traded for. I'm pleased with them.

That cold dew is why every gigging drummer should have a great gigging kit. I carry towels with me when I know I'll be playing outside. But usually, if there's real stage lighting, the stage can be heated to almost 100-degrees on a cold night ;)

Glad you're getting out ;)

Bummer about accidentally setting your kit up backwards, though!

Dr. Watso that made me laugh. I've always been a bit backwards.
Bo, the lights we used in the 80's would have warmed us up, these newer ones don't get that hot.

I think Bo, Lefty2, and me are the only right-minded people on DW!!
