Reducing Floor Vibrations From Practice Pads

Hello all,
I recently moved into a small apartment and have been practicing with a "pad set" made up of a couple regular practice pads and a Gibraltar bass drum pad. After a couple days of practicing like this, my neighbor who lives right below started complaining about the "unbearable" floor noises it was making. Although it's very quiet in my room, I guess the floor is amplifying the vibrations (probably mostly from the bass drum pad), making it sounds like loud thumping in the apartment below. Has anyone had a similar experience and/or have any ideas on how to remedy the situation? I'm looking at buying a rubber mat to put underneath that are meant to reduce floor noise from excersise machines (like this http://www.rubberflooringexperts.com/exercise-fitness/gym-equipment-mats/elephant-bark-rubberized-flooring.html) but I'm not sure how much that will help.

Let me know if you have any suggestions.
