Help disassembling Sabian B8 Pro Pack

I recently got the Sabian B8 Pro Performance Pack. Please don't talk about how bad they are, my music store had an extremely good deal on them. However, I seem to be having a problem with them. I took them out of the box, and all five cymbals are conviniently kept together with a white thing through their keyholes. Unfortunately, I have no way of taking this white thing out. It seems as if you can twist it off, but I can't seem to be able to do so. I've even tried using a wrench, but no luck. Anybody know how to take it off?
