Emperor on top ambassador for reso. Thats my tried and true combo for me. I would set aside a better part of a day on tuning your drums regardless of what kind of heads you use. try different tunings between the reso and batter heads. be patient take some notes on what works and what does not. Have some fun and try to make your drum you are working with sound as bad as possible and correct it from there. Thats how I learned back in the day, its very time consuming and fustrating when learning to tune drums. It will get better and easier the more you play with the tuning. I would highly suggest watching the vids that were suggested below.
