I'm looking at buying an electronic pad to enhance some of the songs I play with my band.
My budget isn't huge but I don't want to buy something I may grow to hate.
I was looking at the Alesis Sample Pad as I can load it with my own sounds, which I could use in the future although probably won't in the very beginning.
Then I found the Alesis Performance Pad Pro for a good price (used), and the non-pro version for less, but I am thinking these, despite their good price, would be too much for the tiny amount of use I would give them.
Usually our sound engineer gets great sounds from the drums when mic'd but is it something I should get into or just not bother with?
