If you saw photos of drum sets used for studio recording,they would look somewhat like yours.Which proves a point that sound trumps beauty every time.If you like the way they sound...then nothing else is important.

If you get a chance,take a look on ebay for studio legend Hal Blaine's studio kit.Mostly Ludwig and Blaimier,and all different colors,and used in the 60's and 70's to record some of the most iconic music in history.Those drums are a piece of music history.
